How secure is your front door?
Find out how to secure your entrance door effectively!
You should not cut corners on the security of your front door. Our security cylinders from Austria and protective fittings from Germany last a door's lifetime with proper maintenance. How far you go is up to you, level by level: each one builds on the previous one.
-
Basic security
Security cylinder, burglar-resistant mortise lock and protective fitting with core-pull protection – the minimum for every front door. -
Auxiliary lock
A second locking point with an extra-strong restrictor bar, so you can open the door a crack in a secured position. -
Horizontal crossbar lock or vertical security bar lock
Maximum burglary protection across the full width or the full height of the door. -
Digital door viewer
A large monitor shows you who is standing outside before you open.
Level 1: Basic security
Your door should have at least these security features. The cylinder sits in the mortise lock; the protective fitting covers it on the outside and protects its core from being pulled out.
- Security cylinder for the mortise lock
- Burglar-resistant mortise lock
- Stainless-steel protective fitting with core-pull protection
- Security card and 3 keys
- Professional installation
You can find more about the individual building blocks under mechanical locking systems, locks and fittings.
Level 2: Always on the safe side
An auxiliary security lock is particularly suitable for older people and households with children: you can open the door a crack while it stays secured.
- Basic security as in level 1
- Auxiliary security lock with extra-strong restrictor bar
- Keyed-alike security cylinder: one key for both locks
You can find all the details on versions and test standards under auxiliary locks.
Which level suits your door?
We look at your door, frame and masonry and tell you which security makes sense for you.
Level 3: Maximum burglary protection
A horizontal crossbar lock protects your door across its full width, even against brute-force break-in methods. The patented bolt mechanism and the solid anchoring make attempts to force the door practically pointless.
- Basic security as in level 1
- Horizontal crossbar lock with armoured escutcheon
- Keyed-alike security cylinder
For double doors and doors in period buildings, vertical security bar locks are used. Unlike the crossbar, they lock the door along its full height.
- Basic security as in level 1
- Vertical security bar lock for the active leaf with armoured escutcheon
- Keyed-alike security cylinder
- Vertical security bar lock for the inactive leaf
More on both designs: horizontal crossbar lock and vertical security bar lock.
Level 4: Watch out, con artists
A digital door viewer brings convenience and security to your door. On the large monitor you see exactly who is standing outside.
- Wide 105° viewing angle
- Large monitor
- Picture appears after just 1 second

Upgrade instead of replacing too soon
Many existing and apartment doors can be improved considerably without replacing the whole door. What matters is professional fixing into a load-bearing structure: the best security device is of little use if the frame, masonry or fixings cannot take the load.
In apartment buildings, businesses and on escape routes, we plan operation, fire protection and, where required, escape and panic door functions from the start. If you want to control who gets in and when, access control is the right addition.
